Springfield Man Guilty Of Raping 12-Year-Old Repeatedly Sentenced
A Massachusetts man will spend up to two decades behind bars for repeatedly raping a 12-year-old child, authorities said. Ismael Freytes-Rodriguez, 39, of Springfield, was sentenced to 18 to 20 years in prison after he was found guilty on Oct. 7 of three counts each of aggravated rape and abuse of a child and rape of a child with force. His age was an aggravating factor for the first three counts, Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni said on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Prosecutors sought 20 to 25 years in state prison.
