A Greenwich Township man will spend at least three years in prison after leading a cockfighting ring with his father, authorities said. Jimmy Hadden, 50, was sentenced to 10 years in state prison, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said in a news release on Tuesday, Aug. 13. A 45-year-old Easton, PA man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 78 in New Jersey on Tuesday, July 2, authorities said. At 10:04 p.m., a BMW motorcycle traveling eastbound on Route 78 in Greenwich Township struck the back of a 2017 Toyota Camry, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was ejected and was subsequently struck by a 2020 Toyota Camry, killing him, Marchan said. 5 Hospitalized In Overnight I-295 Crash Involving Tree: State Police
Two people were seriously injured and three others hurt in a crash on I-295 early Friday, Nov. 24 in Gloucester County, police said. A Honda was heaving north when the driver lost directional control near milepost 16.6 in Greenwich Township at 2 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. The car ran off the road and struck a tree leading a 72- and 72-year-old pair, of Willingboro, seriously injured, McNair said. Three others suffered minor injuries. Crash With Freightliner Kills Pennsylvania Driver On Route 78 In New Jersey: Police
A Honda driver from Pennsylvania was killed after hitting a Freightliner that was parked on the shoulder of Route 78 early on Tuesday, Nov. 7, police confirmed. Alejandro Reyes-Moya, 52, was driving a Honda CRV on the eastbound side near milepost 4.2 in Greenwich Township when he struck the back of a Freightliner pulling a utility trailer that was parked on the right shoulder around 4:15 a.m., Sgt. Charles Marchan told Daily Voice. Reyes-Moya, of Lebanon, PA, was killed in the crash, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation and there was no further information as of press time.

Salem County Man, 37, Killed In Cumberland County Crash With Tree: State Police
A 37-year-old Salem County man was killed when he ran off a Cumberland County road and hit a tree, authorities said. Douglas G. Hitchner Jr., of Woodstown, was driving south in a Chevrolet SUV on Tindall Island Road in Greenwich Township at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19 when his vehicle veered off the road to the right side, according to Detective I Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman with the New Jersey State Police. The SUV hit a tree and Hitchner sustained fatal injuries, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation.

A driver was airlifted Tuesday afternoon following a crash with a tractor-trailer on Route 78 in Warren County, state police said. A passenger vehicle collided with the tractor-trailer in the westbound lanes near milepost 4.6 in Greenwich Township just after 2:20 p.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. The driver of the passenger vehicle was airlifted to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, Goez said. Two other occupants were uninjured, Goez said. The crash remains under investigation.
