9 Hospitalized, 40 Displaced In Massive Warwick Fire
A pre-dawn fire destroyed an apartment building in Warwick Township, displacing 40 people and sending five to the hospital, officials said Sunday, Nov. 17.
Firefighters were called to the 300 block of Creekside Lane at 4:30 a.m., Warwick Emergency Services Commission Fire Commissioner Duane Ober said.
“When we arrived, we had fire shown in multiple locations,” Ober explained, estimating that 100 firefighters from a dozen companies battled the blaze before 5 a.m.
Although five people were transported to local hospitals, their injuries were described as minor, Ober added.

Four Newark Firefighters Injured In Three-Alarm Fire: Authorities
Four Newark firefighters were injured battling a three-alarm blaze that began on the late evening of Friday, Nov. 15, authorities said.
At 11:57 p.m., firefighters responded to 11 Seymour Ave., an unoccupied residential building, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said. The fire extended to two occupied residential buildings at 9 Seymour Ave. and 13 Seymour Ave, Miranda said.
A 2nd alarm, requesting additional units to the scene, was called at midnight, and a 3rd alarm, requesting even more units, was called at 12:04 a.m., Miranda said.

Jericho House Fire Leaves Family Dog Dead
A house fire on Long Island left a dog dead.
The blaze began at about 4 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 on Seaman Road in Jericho.
Responders arrived to find the home engulfed in flames from the second floor and heavy smoke throughout.
All residents made it out safely, though the family’s dog was found dead inside.
The Nassau County PD Arson Bomb Squad and the Nassau County Fire Marshal are investigating.
Firefighters from Jericho, with assistance from Syosset, Hicksville, Westbury, Plainview, Bethpage, South Farmingdale, Glenwood, and Carle Place, responded and extinguished the fire.
