2 Baltimore Men Indicted For Trafficking Firearms To Undercover Detectives: AG
Two Baltimore men, including a previously convicted murderer, were charged with trafficking firearms to undercover detectives in an operation that resulted in the seizure of nearly two dozen weapons, Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced on Thursday, March 7.
A total of 22 semi-automatic handguns and military-style weapons were seized during the investigation, which was led by the Attorney General’s Organized Crime Unit and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) through ATF Baltimore Group II.

Newark Men Sold Guns To Undercover Informants: Feds
Two men from Newark were federally charged with dealing unlicensed firearms, trafficking them across state lines, federal prosecutors announced on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
From July to September of this year, Carlo De Jesus, a 26-year-old Newark resident sold four firearms, including two rifles and a semi-automatic handgun to undercover law enforcement, U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger said. De Jesus also sold fentanyl and cocaine to law enforcement, Sellinger said.
De Jesus sold the firearms to an undercover agent who said he lived in Connecticut, Sellinger said.

Out-Of-State Man Admits To Supplying Bridgeport Gang Members With Firearms
A former Fairfield County resident has pleaded guilty to a single count of firearms trafficking in which local gangs were supplied with guns.
Stephfan Sanderson, age 24, aka “Birdy” and “Beans," made his plea in Bridgeport on Tuesday, Nov. 15, said Vanessa Roberts Avery, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
According to court documents and statements made in court, the FBI, ATF, DEA, US Marshals, and Bridgeport Police have been investigating multiple Bridgeport-based gangs whose members are involved in narcotics trafficking, murder, and other acts of violence.

Authorities seized nine guns, 14 large-capacity ammo magazines, seven bricks of heroin and more in the takedown of a crew that they said sold large amounts of drugs and guns in and around Atlantic City.

Police have arrested a 24-year-old man who investigators believe is a high-impact trafficker of drugs and firearms.
Luis Ortiz, from Worcester, Massachusetts and Putnam, Connecticut, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 17, at a home in Worcester following an investigation.
Police said Ortiz was charged with gun and narcotics offenses, including the illegal sale of firearms, ammunition, and fentanyl.
The investigation into Ortiz's activities began in January after troopers received information that he was illegally in possession of firearms, authorities said.

A Pottstown man was arrested for straw purchasing and illegally reselling more than a dozen firearms over a period of six years, authorities said.
Johnny Fowler, 28, was charged with multiple felony counts of unlawful transfer of a firearm, corrupt organizations, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, criminal use of communications facilities, unsworn falsification, and related offenses, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
Investigators say Fowler trafficked 16 firearms from 2014 to 2019.

New Jersey State Police seized nine firearms that were headed to Paterson from South Carolina, leading to the arrests of six accused gun runners.
Four defendants were in a vehicle stopped by State Police on Sept. 26, Acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Rachael A. Honig said.
Two of them -- ex-con Kendell McFadden, 28, and Laronmir MdFadden, 27, of Florence, South Carolina -- led the ring, a subsequent investigation involving the ATF found, she said.

Three Pennsylvania men were arrested for trafficking 37 firearms across Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery counties, authorities announced.Tyron Gresham, 24, purchased the firearms from Dec. 19, 2019, through May 13, 2021, and attempted to buy another one on May 18, 2021, according to Montgomery County District Attorney's office.
Of the 37 firearms purchased by Gresham, 17 were purchased in Bucks County, 16 in Philadelphia, and four in Montgomery County.

Bridgeport Man, 70, Sentenced For Trafficking Homemade Machine Guns
A Fairfield County man is going to spend more than a year behind bars for his role in trafficking illegal, homemade machine guns.
Bridgeport resident George Jaiman, 70, has been sentenced to 14 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for trafficking machine guns. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and perform 100 hours of community service after pleading guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a machine gun in Hartford federal court.
