12 Rescued From Sinking 58-Foot Boat In Point Lookout
Emergency responders were able to rescue 12 people from a 58-foot that was sinking on Long Island. The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 27, in Point Lookout. The vessel was about a half-mile offshore when it began taking on water, according to Nassau County Police. All passengers were safely brought back to shore. No injuries were reported. Homeless Man Sets Himself On Fire On Jersey Shore: Police
A homeless man set himself on fire in Lakewood, authorities said. The 43-year-old man reportedly called 9-1-1- and said he was feeling suicidal and set his sweatshirt on fire, Lakewood police said. He suffered minor burns to his stomach and chest at the New Jersey Transit Bus terminal at 200 First Street at about 11 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, police said. Emergency responders transported the man to a local hospital for treatment of his burns and psychological screening for his mental health.

SUV Hits Parked Car, Slams Into Utility Pole In Glen Rock
An SUV hit an occupied parked car before slamming head-on into a utility pole Monday in Glen Rock. Neither the Honda Pilot nor the driver who was making a cellphone call in a sedan parked in the 500 block of Harristown Road was injured in the afternoon crash, responders said.
