A Fairfield County man faces up to 30 years in prison after being busted on child pornography charges. Easton resident Robert McGuire, 41, has been arrested and charged by a federal grand jury with the production of child pornography on multiple occasions over the course of more than two years. The indictment alleges that McGuire produced images of child pornography between February 2018 and June this year. The investigation into McGuire was led by the FBI and Easton Police Department. The identity of a 63-year-old man found dead in a Fairfield County home has been released by police. Officers from the Easton Police Department responded to Redding Road at approximately 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, where there was a report of an unresponsive man. Upon arrival, officers found Michael Baldyga dead inside the home. A man killed during a two-vehicle head-on crash near the Monroe/Easton border over the weekend has been identified. A baby owl was rescued by Easton Police when it was found sitting in the middle of a busy roadway. The Barred Owl was reported on the road during the evening on Thursday, May 23, on Beers Road, said the Easton Police Department. After a nearly 40-year career, Darien Police Chief Ray Osborne has officially announced his retirement. Osborne notified the Darien Police Commission and First Selectman Jayme Stevenson earlier this week that he will be retiring on September 1. A driver in Fairfield County was able to escape injury after the vehicle overturned in a crash on Route 136 in Easton.
