Fairfield County Man Nabbed In Connection With Overdose Death, Police Say Following an investigation that lasted more than a year, a Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs, and faces charges associated with an overdose death. Rodney Spann, age 26, of Bridgeport, was arrested by Stamford Police on Wednesday, Oct. 13, on charges of the sale of narcotics and conspiracy to sell narcotics.  The investigation into Spann began in September 2020 after a woman died from an overdose, said Capt. Man Found Dead On Bleachers Behind Playing Field In Fairfield County A man was found dead sitting on a set of bleachers behind a playing field in Fairfield County. The man was found around 12:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 4, when Bridgeport Police received a call from a resident reporting a man on the bleachers behind a field on Boston Avenue. Scott Appleby, the director of emergency communications for Bridgeport, said when police and fire arrived, the man was dead, and the incident may be drug-related.
