Fairfield County Man Nabbed In Connection With Overdose Death, Police Say
Following an investigation that lasted more than a year, a Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs, and faces charges associated with an overdose death.
Rodney Spann, age 26, of Bridgeport, was arrested by Stamford Police on Wednesday, Oct. 13, on charges of the sale of narcotics and conspiracy to sell narcotics.
The investigation into Spann began in September 2020 after a woman died from an overdose, said Capt. Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police Department.
During an investigation into her death, Spann became the focus, Conklin said.

Investigation Into Fatal Long Island Overdose Leads To Charges For Man, Woman
A man and woman are facing charges after an investigation into a fatal drug overdose on Long Island that occurred on Saturday, Dec. 5 just before 7:30 p.m. in Massapequa, police announced.
The investigation by the Long Island Heroin Taskforce into the fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident led to the arrest of Robert Brinkley, age 45, of Amityville, and Felice Streeter, age 57, of Wyandanch, according to Nassau County Police Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives.

Update: Four Charged With Murder In Fairview Robbery Slaying, Most From North Bergen
UPDATE: After two gunmen shot a Fairview man dead in his apartment over the weekend, one of four unemployed suspects charged with his murder gave the gun to another man to hide, authorities said Tuesday.
Carlos Burgos, 19, “gave a firearm used in the murder” to Dylan Rodriguez, 18, who hid it in a private home, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
That gun was recovered during what investigators told Daily Voice were no fewer than a half-dozen warranted searches.

Washington Township Boy, 16, Thrown From Vehicle In Drug Ripoff, Teen Driver Charged
UPDATE: A 16-year-old Washington Township boy hung onto a fleeing vehicle and was thrown, suffering severe injuries, in a drug ripoff, authorities confirmed Friday.
The 17-year-old driver, also from the township, was quickly taken into custody following Monday night's incident, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said.
He was issued delinquency complaints accusing him of robbery, aggravated assault, endangering an injured victim, leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury and assault by auto, the prosecutor said.
