Missing Liberty Teens May Be Traveling Out Of State, Police Say
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a pair of Hudson Valley teenagers.
Sullivan County residents Lariah Uhl, 15, and Lluvia Garcia, 16, were last seen in the town of Liberty on Thursday, Jan. 23, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse.
Uhl was last seen wearing a one piece black jumpsuit, and Garcia had a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and was carrying a white purse.
The teens are believed to be together and may be traveling to Denver, Colorado, officials said.

5 PA Breweries Win Big At Great American Beer Fest
Five Pennsylvania breweries won big at Great American Beer Festival 2024, bringing medals back to the Keystone State from the competition in Colorado.
The winners came from Hawley, Lancaster, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh, according to the festival's winner's list.
This event is held annually in Denver, Colorado, according to the festival's website. In 2024, the festival was held Oct 10 through Oct. 12.

Daniel "Dan" George Noakes, age 17, of Hyde Park, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 15, at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie following a single-vehicle crash in which he was the driver.
A Poughkeepsie native, Noakes was the son of Glenn A. and Nicole Liegey Noakes. His father lives in Poughkeepsie, and his mother and sister, Annie, in Hyde Park.

NY Man Who Assaulted Female Passenger On Flight To Newark Gets 2 Years, No Parole
UPDATE: An upstate New York man who admitted assaulting a fellow passenger on a flight from Denver to Newark must spend two plea-bargained years in federal prison.
Ryan Manuella, 30, of Erie County, “moved to a vacant center seat next to a female passenger, who was sitting in a window seat” on the April 16, 2021 flight, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.
Manuella, who didn't know the woman, then "touched the passenger without her consent," Sellinger said.
"The victim then yelled at him and left the row of seats," the U.S. attorney said.

Four Kids Spotted Getting Baked In Car With Woman Named 'Baker,' Police In Lancaster Co. Say
Mary Baker was found "baked" on marijuana in a smoke-filled car with four children on Jan. 13, 2023, authorities announced in a release on Feb. 28.
Baker, 43, of Denver, was noticed by the police while sitting in "a parked vehicle full of smoke with the windows up" in the 100 block of Main Street around 7:45 p.m., East Cocalico Township police say.
Officers also "discovered Baker was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia," as stated in the release.
The children in the vehicle were not her's, so their parents were notified, according to the release.…

Jersey Shore native and beloved photographer Walter Kelly McCaffrey, Jr. died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 5. He was 36.
Walter grew up in Barnegat and graduated from South Regional High School, his obituary and social media pages say.
Walter then went on to graduate from Colorado Mountain College before moving to Denver, where he was studying economics at the University of Colorado, his memorial says.
Walter was a skilled photographer and enjoyed cycling, snowboarding, and surfing, his obituary says.

Delaware County native Bradford Greene died on Aug. 3 at the age of 32.
Born in Newtown Square, and most recently a resident of Denver, CO, Greene had a passion for traveling, family, mathematics, and poker, his obituary says.
In May of 2018, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University, and in May of 2020, he received his Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Denver, according to his obituary.
