Police are asking the public for help after a teen was shot and killed during an apparent drive-shooting in Fairfield County. Danbury Police discovered the 18-year-old city resident around 8 p.m. Sunday, June 20, in the area of 19 Mill Ridge Road after receiving multiple complaints of gunshots coming from the area, said the Danbury Police. Alert Issued For Fairfield County Man Who's Been Missing Nearly Two Weeks
A Silver Alert has been issued for a Fairfield County man who has been missing for nearly two weeks. Danbury Police issued the alert on Wednesday, Jan. 27 for Todd Smith, of Danbury who has not been seen since Saturday, Jan. 16. Smith was last seen in the area of 93 Mill Plain Road in Danbury, police said. If you think you have seen Smith, or have information regarding his whereabouts, please contact Lt. Police are asking the public for help following the shooting death of a man over the weekend in Northern Fairfield County. According to Danbury Police, the shooting took place in Fairfield County around 10:35 p.m., Sunday, July 12, in the area of Beaver Street and Elm Street, said Detective Lt. Mark Williams. Fairfield County Couple Asking Public For Help Locating Stolen Dirt Bikes
An area family is asking for help from the public locating two dirt bikes stolen out of a pickup truck. Jen Danise said the two bikes were stolen out of the back her husband's pickup truck between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., at the Good Shepherd Hill Condominium Complex in Danbury. The stolen vehicles are described as being a blue and white 2008 Yamaha YZ250F and a red and white 2006 Honda CRF80. The fire took place around 9 a.m., Monday, April 20, at Bell Place in the Danbury Housing Complex, said Danbury Fire Department Spokesman James Gagliardo. A skull and human remains found behind an area diner have been confirmed to be that of a missing woman. Sheriff's deputies responded to the Putnam Diner on Saturday, Feb. 1, on Route 22 in Patterson after receiving a call that a human skull had been found in the woods, said the Sheriff's Office. Remains Found Near Route 22 Diner Linked To Woman Who Went Missing
A human skull and skeletal remains found by a hunter near an area diner are believed to belong to a woman who went missing in 2017. The remains, which were discovered in Putnam County behind the Putnam Diner on Route 22, in Patterson could be those of Lealcria DeLima, 53, of Danbury. DeLima was last seen on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, leaving home in a 2016 red Honda after telling her two children that she loved them and was going to a local Walmart to pick up a prescription, said Danbury Police at the time. A former Fairfield County priest remains behind bars after turning himself in to police for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor. The Rev. Jaime Marin-Cardona, 51, has been charged with three counts of illegal sexual contact, three counts of sexual assault and of risk of injury to a child, said the Diocese of Bridgeport. A three-alarm fire heavily damaged a Danbury deli. The Danbury 911 center received multiple calls stating that a large amount of smoke was billowing from the Marcello's Deli and Catering near Lake Avenue and Hobson Street late in the evening on Monday, Jan. 14. This story has been updated. A man familiar to police was fatally shot and killed by a Danbury officer at an area senior housing complex has been identified. Paul Arbitelle was the man shot and killed in after pulling a knife on officers, according to state police. His last known address was on Coal Pit Road in Danbury. A weekslong investigation into drug sales throughout the Danbury area led to the arrest of a 25-year-old man who was caring for a 20-month-old child when he was apprehended, police said.
