Wethersfield State Marshal Stole $38K In Court-Ordered Collections, State Says A Connecticut state marshal is accused of keeping about $38,000 she collected through court-ordered garnishments instead of paying those owed the money. Nicole Baker, 50, of Wethersfield was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 13, and charged with first-degree larceny, according to inspectors with the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office. The money came from wage and bank garnishments ordered through the New Britain and Hartford Superior Courts, according to the arrest warrant affidavit.
