The 2025 Grammy nominations are out, and once again, Virginia artists made a strong showing alongside Beyoncé, who leads this year’s list with 11 nominations for her latest album, Cowboy Carter.
Woodbridge native Shaboozey, an emerging rapper and singer-songwriter, is up for Best New Artist, one of the Grammys' most prestigious categories, while his breakout single, A Bar Song (Tipsy), which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 has earned him further acclaim with nominations for Song of the Year and Country Song of the Year.

Kenny Chesney's Private Jet Lands In Teterboro Ahead Of Upcoming Shows
Kenny Chesney has arrived.
The country star's private jet touched down at Teterboro Airport at approximately 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, according to a popular Facebook page dedicating to tracking celebrity aircrafts.
Earlier this month, Chesney was ranked No. 13 for celebrities with the highest private jet emissions, in a list put out by Thrillist citing data pulled from JetSpy.
Chesney, currently on his "Sun Goes Down" tour, has shows booked in Syracuse, NY on May 30, Pittsburgh, PA on June 1, and Philadelphia on June 8.

Lifelong Jersey Shore resident and beloved aunt Tina Marie Salvesen died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 23. She was 38.
Born at the Cape May Court House, Salvesen graduated from the Cape May County Special Services School District, her obituary says.
She had worked at EasterSeals New Jersey since March 2021, according to her social media page.
Salvesen loved knitting, crocheting, and doing other arts and crafts, her memorial says.
She also had a passion for country music, watching wrestling on TV, and being an aunt to her loving nephew, David Tristan Collins.

Staind frontman and longtime Pioneer Valley resident Aaron Lewis has put his rural mansion up for sale.
Lewis, a Longmeadow native, says he’s moving to Nashville, Tennessee, to be closer to the country music scene, according to the New Haven Register. He purchased the home in 2001.
