Man Holds Ex-Employer Hostage, Threatens To Have His Pit Bull Attack In Norwood: Cops
A Rockland County man is being held in the Bergen County jail after police said he held his former employer and coworkers hostage, demanding money and threatening them with his dog.
Police were called to a business suite on Broad Street in Norwood around 1:50 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, where Wayne Gordon, of New City, NY had come in with his pit bull, removed the dog's muzzle, and threatened to have the dog attack them if they didn't pay him $7,000 that he claimed he was owed, Norwood Police Chief Christopher Federici said.

A Hudson Valley man and woman are being held without bond after being charged with the murder of a man whose body they hid in the crawl space of the home.

Man Nabbed With Gun, Ammo After Running Red Light In Hudson Valley, Police Say
A 38-year-old man was nabbed with a Colt 9mm semiautomatic revolver during a traffic stop in the Hudson Valley.
The stop took place in Rockland County in New City around 1:30 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 22 on N. Main Street.
Javier A. Ordonez, of Hollywood, Florida, was stopped by Clarkstown Police for failing to stop at a right light, said Det. Norm Peters of the Clarkstown Police.

Police are asking for any witnesses to a Hudson Valley crash in which a scooter driver was hit and killed by an SUV to come forward.
Rockland County resident Dariel Rivera, of Central Nyack, was killed around 3:50 a.m., Friday, July 14, on Route 303 in West Nyack.
According to Det. Norm Peters of the Clarkstown Police, officers found Rivera after police received reports of a person lying in the roadway.

A 24-year-old erratic driver from New Jersey is facing charges out of Rockland County, NY for a crash that left one woman dead this week, authorities said.
Corey Womack, of Englewood, was heading west on Route 59 in a gray Audi A6 when he struck a Ford Edge near Broome Boulevard around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 30 in Clarkstown, Det. Norm Peters said.
Witnesses reported seeing a gray Audi being operated erratically while traveling westbound on Route 59 from Waldron Avenue, Peters said.

Man Charged For Fatal Fentanyl Overdose In Stamford
A Hudson Valley man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the fentanyl overdose death of a Connecticut man.
Rockland County resident, Daniel McDonald, age 32, of New City, was charged on Monday, Jan. 23, following a five-month investigation in Fairfield County into the fentanyl death, said Capt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police.
On Monday, Aug. 29, Stamford officers responded to a Maple Street home for the report of a dead man, Scanlon said.
