Reckless Driver Arrested For DWI: Mount Olive PD A 57-year-old Budd Lake woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, authorities announced Wednesday, Feb. 11. At 11:23 p.m., officers observed a white Honda traveling west on Route 46 that failed to maintain its lane of travel, Mount Olive police said. A traffic stop was initiated and as offices spoke to the driver, Mariann Galuska, they noticed she appeared to be impaired and detected the odor of alcohol, police said. DWI Driver Crashed Into Snowbank: Mount Olive PD A 27-year-old Budd Lake resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he crashed his vehicle into a snowbank on Saturday, Jan. 31. At 1:08 a.m., officers responded to Route 206 and Main Street after a vehicle crashed, with the passenger side up on the snowbank, Mount Olive police said. As offices spoke to the driver, Ty Romeo, they detected the odor of alcohol and noted he appeared impaired, police said. Elizabeth Woman Busted For DWI Attempting To Leave Bar: Mt Olive PD A 37-year-old Elizabeth woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on the early morning of Sunday, Dec. 8, as she attempted to leave a bar in Budd Lake At 1:08 a.m., officers observed a Honda SUV back into a parked vehicle in the parking lot of Lakeview Bar and Grill, Mount Olive police said. The vehicle was stopped as it was attempted to leave the lot and officers made contact with the driver, Fiorella Velarde, police said.
