At 1:08 a.m., officers responded to Route 206 and Main Street after a vehicle crashed, with the passenger side up on the snowbank, Mount Olive police said. As offices spoke to the driver, Ty Romeo, they detected the odor of alcohol and noted he appeared impaired, police said.
Romeo was asked to exit his vehicle for field sobriety testing and was subsequently placed under arrest, police said. Romeo was transported to police headquarters where he refused to submit to chemical breath testing, police said.
He was charged with DWI, reckless driving and failure to submit to chemical beath testing, police said
