Couple Killed In Parkway Crash With Snowplow
A man and woman from Lakewood were killed after crashing into a snowplow truck on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County, authorities said. State police said an SUV driven by 29-year-old Eliyahu Naydavoud was heading north on the parkway in Tinton Falls around 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15. A snowplow truck was also traveling north and tried to turn into an emergency vehicle U-turn area near mile marker 104.2. Naydavoud's SUV crashed into the side of the snowplow. Firefighters in Northern Westchester are warning drivers to be careful of black ice following a crash caused by the invisible hazard. The incident happened on Friday, Jan. 12 just before 6:45 a.m., when a car crashed on Mount Airy Road East in Croton-on-Hudson, according to the village's fire department. Arriving crews found the car off the roadway in some brush and quickly realized that black ice had been the cause of the wreck. Speeding Driver Dies When Car Goes Airborne Near I-95 Ramp In Philadelphia: Police
A 25-year-old man died in an airborne crash near an I-95 ramp in Philadelphia Thursday evening, Jan. 11, police said. The man was heading north at a high rate of speed on the 4600 block of Aramingo Avenue when he struck the center median around 6:46 p.m., city police said. Authorities have identified the 39-year-old Weymouth man who was killed last week after being ejected from his car during a rollover wreck in Franklin. Anthony Espino was driving north on I-495 near exit 41 on Friday, Jan. 5, when he lost control of his car, the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office said.
