21-Year-Old Morris County Woman Struck Parked Car While Drunk: Police
A 21-year-old Morris County woman was arrested and charged after she struck a parked car while drunk on the early morning of Sunday, April 21, police said.
At 3:29 a.m., Mount Olive police responded to Center Street for a car crash, officers said. Police located a Nissan Sentra that had struck a parked vehicle and was now in the roadway, officers said.
As officers spoke with the driver, Kelsey Chaplin, a Budd Lake resident, the odor of alcohol was detected and she appeared to be impaired, police said. After conducting field sobriety testing, Chaplin was arrested.

Sue Driscoll, a Budd Lake resident, died on Friday, March 1 at the age of 39, according to her obituary.
A lifelong Garden Stater, Driscoll was born in Livingston, and also lived in Springfield and Chatham, before graduating from Morristown-Beard School, where she played basketball and field hockey, her obituary reads.

The Long Valley Fire Company responded to the blaze at 148 Stephensburg Rd. in Washington Township just before 12:55 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, the squad said.

A Morris County man spat at investigating officers and damaged a wall at police headquarters as he was being processed for an unrelated matter, authorities said.
Marcellis Smallwood, 18, was being processed at Mount Olive Township Police Headquarters on Flanders Drakestown Road in Budd Lake when he spat at officers numerous times around 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, authorities said.
