The suspect in both the mass shooting at Brown University and the killing of an MIT professor has been found dead by suicide, officials announced Thursday night, Dec. 18.
He was identified in an affidavit (attached at the bottom of this news article), and signed Thursday in Rhode Island as Claudio Manuel Neves Valente, 48, a former Brown University student and a national of Portugal, whose last known address was in Miami, Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez said at a press conference. A man says he found a bloody knife and pillow near trash cans in Hartford where other evidence in the case of the missing Fairfield County mother of five was discovered, according to a brand-new report.
