At least two people were killed and eight others were injured following reports of an active shooter near Barus & Holley Engineering, officials said.
Eight people were listed in critical, but stable condition at the hospital following the incident, officials said.
The shelter-in-place was lifted Sunday morning.
"We continue to ask anyone with information that could help this investigation to call the Providence Police Department at 401-652-5767 or the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI," the FBI said.
