A Massachusetts man was apprehended in Virginia in connection to an aggravated sexual assault and home invasion that happened over a month ago, authorities said.
Washington Pearson, age 55, of Boston, was arrested by members of the United States Marshals Service in Norfolk, VA on Tuesday, Nov. 29, Boston Police report.
Pearson was wanted for an incident that happened on the Arborway in Jamaica Plain on Friday, Oct. 24, police said. He had a warrant issued from West Roxbury District Court on several charges including attempted murder, assault, rape, and breaking and entering.

A convicted sex offender from Lowell has been charged with breaking and entering into a Tewksbury home earlier this year, authorities said.
John "Johnny" Luna, age 44, was charged in connection stealing more than $40,000 in jewelry after breaking into a home on Whipple Road in Tewksbury on March 29, 2022, Tewksbury Police report.
After a months-long investigation, Luna was arrested at his home on Tuesday morning, Oct. 18, police said. Luna has also been a suspect in multiple other incidents throughout the area.

A couple from New Hampshire, both of whom had previous warrants out for their arrests, were finally caught while trying to break into a car in Tewksbury, authorities said.
Police responded to a call about a breaking and entering in progress on Ferncroft Road around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, Tewksbury Police said. Responding officers learned that a person tried to break into a car but ran away when the car's alarm started going off.

Three armed men disrupted a recent Stafford County double date at a local Super 8 motel, police said.
Just after midnight on September 3, officials arrived at the motel, located at 557 Warrenton Road, where they discovered that two adult men had been robbed in a motel room, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
