Unruly Man, 74, Charged With DUI At Private Darien Club
An unruly 74-year-old man was charged with allegedly driving while intoxicated after police were called to a private Fairfield County beach club.
Peter Welsh, of Middlesex County in Marlborough, Massachusetts, was arrested on Wednesday, June 19, at the Tokeneke Beach Club in Darien.
According to Sgt. Mauricio Vigil of the Darien Police, officers were called to the club on a report of a possible unruly, intoxicated man.
Officers identified the individual as Welsh, who exhibited signs of intoxication and had a small laceration on his arm, Vigil said.

Moonachie Police Chief Richard Behrens said Officers Matthew Veltri and Frank Tamargo stopped Damian Roscoe Brooks, 39, of Elkton, for driving recklessly on eastbound Route 46 in Teterboro, NJ, which is 17 miles outside of Manhattan.
After having him step out of his 2012 Honda Accord, the officers spotted several open alcoholic beverage containers and a Glock 9mm that turned out to be loaded with hollow-point bullets, Behrens said.

A pregnant Lancaster County mom had a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit when she struck another vehicle head-on, killing her 11-year-old son, authorities said.Jennifer Johnson, 35, of Manheim Township, was charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI, aggravated assault of an unborn child and several other offenses stemming from the Lititz Pike crash on Feb. 23, Manheim police announced.

New Holland PD: Driver Nearly 2X Legal BAC Level Blows Through Stop Sign
A driver with a blood alcohol level almost twice the legal limit blew through stop signs and swerves in road way, says New Holland police.
Justine Nicole Olweiler, 28, has plead guilty to two other traffic violations, including texting while driving, court documents show.
Olweiler drove right through a stop sign at 2:48 a.m. on Sunday, and then continued driving erratically, police said. She swerved in the area of East Conestoga Street and Mentzer Avenue, where police were on patrol, they said.
