A 50-year-old Long Island man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash on Interstate 95 in Westchester County after his SUV was struck by another vehicle while stopped in the left lane, police said.
Nassau County resident Pankaj R. Bakshi, 50, of Floral Park, died following the two-vehicle collision on northbound I-95 in Port Chester on Monday, Oct. 12, New York State Police confirmed on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

A man who ran over and killed a Hudson Valley gas station attendant was sentenced Thursday to 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison, according to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.
Milton Galdamez-Pena, 22, of Newburgh, who pleaded guilty in November to felony leaving the scene, in connection with the July 30, automobile crash that killed a gas station employee in the City of Newburgh.
