A man wanted out of at least two counties and who had drugs on him was jailed after refusing to get out of his vehicle in a Stafford County stop, police said.
A Stafford County sheriff's deputy spotted Shawn Dao, 40, who was wanted out of Falls Church, Prince William County, and Stafford County, driving near Paradise Estates around 6:50 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, Sheriff David Decatur said.
Dao, who was operating the vehicle on a revoked license due to a prior DUI, was immediately argumentative with the deputy who stopped his car, Decatur said.

A man from Maine checked himself in to a Tewksbury hotel but police checked him out after learning that he had an active arrest warrant and hundreds of grams of drugs, officials say.
A well-being check requested for 34-year-old Danny Taylor at the Residences at Tewksbury, an extended stay hotel located at 20 International Place, found the man safely in his room but with a stash of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, and brass knuckles, according to the Tewksbury police.

A Charlton man who already had a warrant out for his arrest is facing charges for endangering a child after crashing his car in Oxford this week, authorities said.
Wayne Pelletier, age 59, was charged with operating to endanger, speed greater than reasonable, operating with a suspended license, and a marked lanes violation in connection with the crash.
