Driver, 18, Dies Weeks After Fairfax County Crash
An 18-year-old driver has died of injuries suffered in a Fairfax County crash on Jan. 2, authorities said.
Jose Armando Sanchez Aguilar, of Reston, was heading south on Fairfax County Parkway when he lost control of his 2011 Honda Civic, left the roadway, and struck the sound barrier wall just after 5 a.m., county police said.
Sanchez Aguilar was hospitalized with serious injuries and died on Jan. 17, county police said.
His passenger, a woman, was also transported to the hospital in conditions considered to be non-life threatening.

A 41-year-old man from the Jersey Shore has been charged with vehicular manslaughter in connection with a fatal high-speed crash in May, authorities said.
John Zinkoski, 41, of Beachwood, surrendered himself to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, Aug. 22, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.

A 50-year-old motorcyclist from South Jersey has been charged in connection with the death of a passenger in an alcohol-related crash, authorities said.
Joseph J. Melini of Vineland was charged with vehicular homicide on Monday, June 5, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
On Oct. 30, 2021, at 8:10 p.m., Melini was involved in a crash in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue in Atlantic City while operating a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, the prosecutor said.

An off-duty New Jersey State Trooper was twice over the legal limit when he struck a Hoboken police car in an early-morning crash over the weekend, authorities said.
