One person has died after a crash involving a state police car early Friday morning, June 14. Troopers were driving south on Christopher Columbus Boulevard responding to a separate incident around 1:30 a.m., authorities said. State police say they are making progress in their investigation of Patricia Woll's homicide. Woll, 43, was living on River Road in Damascus Township, Wayne County when her house caught fire on Aug. 28, 1997. She was found dead inside after firefighters beat the blaze. A "detailed investigation" led state police to declare the fire an arson and Woll's death a homicide. A state police officer received two years of probation after pleading guilty in connection with a 2022 road rage incident in Chester County, according to the District Attorney's Office. A motorcyclist died from his injuries after crashing on Interstate 93 in Newberry Township on Wednesday afternoon, May 22, authorities say. The 20-year-old wrecked in the southbound lanes near mile marker 32.3 and was taken to Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center where he died, said state police. Twenty-three animals living in “severe neglect” were removed from a Coaldale home on Monday, May 20, state police said in a release. Charges are pending against the 69-year-old homeowner, according to troopers. State Vehicle Involved In I-78 Crash In Berks County, PA State Police Say
A crash truck was struck from behind on Interstate 78 on Monday afternoon, May 13, according to state police. Troopers said it happened around 2 p.m. near the Stump Road underpass in Maxatawny Township. The crash truck was stopped in the right westbound lane with its emergency lights flashing. A tractor-trailer was approaching from the west and "attempted to change lanes as the crash truck indicated," but was unable to do so or stop in time, state police said.
