The crash happened in the southbound lanes immediately following the Oregon Pike or Route 272 exit around 7:15 a.m. Manheim Township Police were dispatched to Route 222 South near Landis Valley Road for the two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer and dump truck. GOT HIM! Police Nab Accused Route 272 Hit-Run Driver Police in Ephrata arrested a man they believe was responsible for a hit-and-run crash. Jose M. Colon-Espada, 33 of Lancaster was arrested for fleeing or attempting to elude the police after a hit-and-run on March 3, according to police. Colon-Espada was supposedly driving a sedan traveling southbound in the 600 block of South Reading Road after having crashed into the passenger’s side of another vehicle, rubbing against the tire.
