Husband, Wife ID'd After Murder-Suicide In York: Authorities A couple has been identified following a second murder-suicide in central Pennsylvania this month.  Brenda Bowersox, 55, of York, was shot and killed by her husband, Steve Bowersox, 60, of York, at their home located at 2816 Glen Hollow Drive in Springettsbury Township, York, authorities said.  Springettsbury Township police were called to the home for a report of gunshots just before 9 a.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2023, the department detailed in a release.  Police arrived to find Brenda with gunshot wounds to the head, neck, and upper torso at 8:56 a.m., according to a re…

Man Dies After Driving Through Stop Sign, Slamming Into Barn Foundation In York County A man died following a crash into the foundation of a barn in Peach Bottom on Saturday morning, according to the York County Coroner's Office.  The man was driving in the area of Flintville and Slateville roads when he failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into the stone foundation of a barn around 11:41 a.m. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The man was pronounced dead at York Hospital on Sunday at 3:10 a.m. by Deputy Coroner Michelle Rau. An autopsy has not been scheduled but a routine toxicology report will be conducted.
