Bear Spotted Traveling Through Carlisle: Police The public is asked not to approach a bear spotted in Carlisle.  The bear was seen in the area of Garland Drive and South Hanover Street around 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, according to a release by the area police. People were urged to avoid the area and keep pets inside. The police explained the Game Commisssion was notified.  An update was later shared reading as follows: "The bear is continuing south and is out of the Borough. Vicious Pitbulls Are Attacking Other Dogs In Their Own Yards In This Lehigh Valley Town Officials in one Lehigh Valley town are warning residents of a pack of aggressive Pitbulls roaming the streets and attacking other dogs in their own yards. The pack of three show "major aggression," and attacked one dog who required euthanasia due to her injuries, authorities in North Whitehall said. The pack was spotted around Clearview, Bellview, Scheidy’s, Fairview, Victoria, 329 in Egypt, and more. The original dark brindle dog has been around since May and caused no harm since then. Bobcat Spotted Inside West Scranton High School School was let out early at West Scranton High School after a bobcat was spotted inside the high school, according to the school district. Sometime Tuesday morning a bobcat got into the school, say school officials. All students were sent home around 11 a.m., according to the school district. Scranton's animal control officer and the game commissioner are working to capture the bobcat.
