Detectives in Berks County are asking residents to help identify the getaway car in a home burglary last Thursday, Dec. 14. Investigators say two men wearing masks and carrying backpacks targeted a home on the 100 block of Great Bend Way in Spring Township around 3:50 p.m. The burglars took personal items, jewelry, and cash before running to a black SUV, possibly a Mitsubishi, and fleeing the neighborhood, police said. A Berks County man who shot another at a Spring Township home over the weekend was spotted by police trying to climb out of a window to escape arrest, authorities claim in a release. It happened around 11 p.m. on Friday, May 5, Spring police wrote. Police are seeking a pair of men who they say committed credit card fraud and used ATM skimming devices across Berks County. Spring Township police believe it happened on March 3, according to a release from Crime Alerts of Berks County. Motorcyclist Killed In Weekend Berks County Crash
A motorcyclist was killed in a crash over the weekend in Berks County, authorities said. The motorcycle was traveling along Shillington Road and Spohn Road in Spring Township when it collided with an SUV just after noon Saturday, July 9, local police said.
