Pottstown Shooting Victims Were Best Friends, Family Says Authorities have identified the two teenagers who were killed in a shooting in Pottstown on Monday, Oct. 17. Skyler Fox, 17, of Stowe, and Brandon Baycote-Byer, 18, of Lower Pottsgrove were found dead near Fox's vehicle at Fourth and Johnson Streets around 11:30 p.m., according to Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Pottstown Police Chief Mick Markovich. PA Home Health Care Aide Busted Stealing From Patients, Authorities Say A Pennsylvania home health aide turned herself in over a year after authorities found she stole products from her patient to sell them, authorities said. The victim found several tools missing from his garage on June 28, 2020, Lower Pottsgrove police said. Brandy Darrow, 44, resigned as the home health aide after being confronted about the thefts, police said. Darrow and another male suspect were spotted on video surveillance at Cash Converters pawning the stolen tools worth $5,000, authorities said. She turned herself in to The Berks County Sheriff's Office on Aug. 18.

Rescue Crews Free Construction Worker After Trench Collapse In Lower Pottsgrove Fire crews freed a construction worker who was stuck in a trench while working at a site in Lower Pottsgrove Wednesday afternoon, authorities said. Firefighters arrived on the scene to free the conscious man who was stuck in a trench after a wall collapsed, around 1:15 p.m. on the 200 block of Evergreen Road, according to 6abc and Royersford Fire Company. The worker was sent to EMS for further medical evaluation, authorities said. No further information was available.
