White Dragon Comics, 246 Stadden Road Suite 202 in Tannersville, was robbed sometime late on April 19 or early on April 20, Pocono Township police wrote in a release. The burglar appears to have smashed the front door before making off with several vintage issues, authorities said.

A White Dragon spokesperson told Daily Voice that the missing comics were "high-end wall books," including early appearances of the X-Men, Wolverine, and the first appearance of Harley Quinn.

The spokesman estimated the losses at about $3,000.

"The response from our friends and community has been overwhelming," White Dragon wrote on Facebook. "Being burgled will certainly not break what we have grown together."
