Indoor Sports Complex Approved As Latest Addition To Airport In South Jersey
A large indoor sports complex is coming to Cape May County, featuring year-round space for sports like soccer and lacrosse. The commission for the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) unanimously approved a resolution to enter a lease agreement with Aviation Sports Complex LLC. The DRBA announced the agreement on Tuesday, Jan. 30. The developer is planning to build an 80,000-square-foot domed facility at Cape May Airport. Lititz's Luician Li's Funeral Scheduled After Chester County Crash
A week after he succumbed to his injuries after a Chester County highway crash, loved ones and neighbors are memorializing Lititz student-athlete Lucian Li. Investigators have said 42-year-old Matthew DeAngelis was headed the wrong way on Route 202 when he crashed head-on into Li's Volkswagen Taos just after midnight on Friday, July 14. DeAngelis was pronounced dead at the scene, while 19-year-old Li died on Monday, July 17, Daily Voice reported. The athletic community at Stevens Institute of Technology was mourning the loss of former record-setting athlete Brett Incollingo. The Yardley, PA native died on Oct. 6 at 28 years old. Brett holds the record for career face-off wins with Stevens' men's lacrosse in its 137-year history, having finished his career with 584 wins in the "X." Methacton Lacrosse Coach Who Punched Player During Game Faces Harassment Charge
A volunteer lacrosse coach who last month punched a North Penn High School player during a game has been charged with harassment. The charge carries a $300 fine and maximum sentence of 90 days in jail for Garth Little, 50, CBS News reports. Because there was not bodily injury, rather a strike to the helmet, the incident is not classified as simple assault, Towamencin Police Chief Timothy Troxel told CBS.
