Lehigh Valley Man Assaulted Cops On Jan. 6, Federal Court Rules A Lehigh Valley man was convicted of assaulting law enforcement officers, obstructing an official proceeding, and civil disorder all related to the riot at the US Capitol Building in Washington, DC on Jan. 6, 2021, federal authorities say.  Craig Michael Bingert, 31, of Allentown, was found guilty following a trial before U.S. District Court Judge Royce C. Surprise US Marshals Inspection Sends 400 DC Inmates To PA Fed Pen, Reports Say A federal penitentiary in central Pennsylvania will be receiving some new inmates from Washington, DC after a surprise inspection by the US Marshals Service, according to the the Washington Post reports. Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary in Pennsylvania is scheduled to receive approximately 400 inmates from the DC facility following a decision regarding the Marshal's briefing, according to the Post.
