Laura Ann Cioffi Delp, a Montgomery County resident and beloved wife, mother, and daughter, died of cancer Wednesday, Nov. 23, according to her obituary. She was 36.
Born in Boston, Laura was recently working as a program coordinator at staffing agency Yoh, and lived in Conshohocken with her husband of five years, Erik, and their 3-year-old daughter, Clara, her obit says.

American Selfie-Taker, 23, Survives Fall Into Mount Vesuvius
A 23-year-old American tourist who fell into Mount Vesuvius in Italy when he dropped his phone taking a selfie was rescued, NBC News reports.
Philip Carroll, of Baltimore, MD, had hiked 4,000 feet up a trail that was closed to tourists with two family members on Saturday, July 9, the outlet said citing Paolo Cappelli, President of the Presidio Permanente Vesuvio.
Carroll stopped to take a photo at the top of the volcano that destroyed Pompeii in AD 79, and apparently dropped his phone — then fell several meters in while trying to recover it, Cappelli said.

Cyber-Footsie Scammers From NJ, MD, VA Swindle $7 Million From Mostly Elderly Victims, Feds Say
Mostly elderly victims across the United States were conned out of a whopping $7 million by a quartet of romance scammers from New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia – all of whom were arrested by the FBI, authorities said.
The victims sent the money to the imposters thinking that they were helping out love interests, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.
They lost a lot.
Arrested this past week, Sellinger said, were:
Nana Yaw Marfo, 37, of Virginia, who was accused of receiving at least $4.7 million;

This is how 21-year-old Montgomery County native Issac Timothy Ashton is being remembered. Isaac died on Jan. 25, 2021, following a short but valiant battle with leukemia.
Born in Langhorne, Isaac later moved to Lambertville, New Jersey, where he lived up until his death, his obituary says.
A scholar and highly-talented musician, Isaac played in the Youth Orchestra of Bucks County, traveling to Italy and France to play in open-air concerts.
