Harrisburg 4-Year-Old's Accused Shooter Arrested In Philadelphia: US Marshals
The man suspected of shooting a 4-year-old girl in Harrisburg last year was taken into custody by US Marshals on Tuesday, April 23, officials say. Shawn Jason, 47, was arrested at a hotel on Island Avenue, Marshals said in a release. Authorities previously said Jason shot three people during a five-hour standoff last Sept 9. Police said he was armed with a rifle when he forced his way into a home on the 1800 block of North Street following a dispute with neighbors. In a preliminary report, federal investigators say there were no obvious engine issues that would have led to the fatal crash of news Chopper 6 last month. Action News has released the names of the pilot and team photographer killed in a helicopter crash Tuesday night, Dec. 19 in New Jersey. Monroe Smith, 67, of Glenside, PA, was the pilot, and Christopher Dougherty, 45, of Oreland, PA, was the photographer, according to the news station. Montco Card Skimmers: More Suspicious Devices Found In Abington, Cops Warn
Just two days after similar devices were uncovered elsewhere in Montgomery County, Abington police announced that more suspected card skimmers were found in ATMs at two township 7-Elevens. The store at 362 Easton Road in Glenside and 2869 Limekiln Pike in North Hills were each found to have the data-stealing hardware installed, Abington police said Thursday, March 9. Feds: Former MontCo Youth Swim School Employee Planned On Sexually Abusing Her Own Baby
A former employe of a Montgomery County youth swimming school was six months pregnant and told sex offenders online that she planned on sexually abusing her own baby when she gave birth, federal authorities said. Danielle Sebenick, 29, of Glenside, was sentenced to seven years in prison with ten years of supervised release by United States District Court Judge Petrese B.
