The gun-related threat was directed at South Mountain Middle School for the Monday, Sept. 26 school day, Allentown police said. An investigation revealed that the threat was unfounded, and as a result, police have implemented increased security measures at the school, they said. First responders were called to the detached house on the 700 block of East Tilghman Street around 5 a.m. on a report of a garage fire with residents trapped, Allentown fire officials said.
