Woman Shot Dead In Allentown: Coroner

A 35-year-old woman was shot and killed in Allentown early Friday morning, Sept. 29.

The unnamed victim was shot around 2 a.m. on the 600 block of North Law Street, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office said. Her death was ruled a homicide.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 2.

Allentown police and Lehigh County detectives are investigating in addition to the Coroner's Office.

Officials said they have identified the victim but are withholding her name so family members can grieve privately.
