Park Street Shooting In Allentown Under Investigation
Authorities in Allentown are investigating a shooting early Friday morning, Dec. 8 that sent the victim to the hospital. Police were called to the 500 block of Park Street between Liberty and Allen streets around 1:45 a.m., the department said in a release. They arrived to find a man suffering from a "non-life-threatening" gunshot wound, according to officials. The victim was treated at the scene and taken to the hospital, they added. A 73-year-old man faces drug charges after police served search warrants at his Allentown home last week, according to authorities. Police said they removed cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana from the Liberty Street residence of John Arthur Berrian on Friday, Nov. 10. A shotgun was also seized, they added. A large fire that began in an Allentown row home and spread to two other buildings prompted one resident to cautiously jump out of a second-floor window, authorities said. Crews were called to the three-alarm blaze on the 1500 block of Liberty Street around 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, Allentown Fire Capt. John Christopher said. Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In Allentown, Police Say
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Allentown on Wednesday, April 6, authorities said. Responding officers found the victim near 15th and Liberty Streets around 6:30 a.m., Allentown police said. Police and EMS rendered aid to the adult male victim before he was taken to an area hospital with "significant injuries," they said. Police did not immediately provide further details. A man is facing attempted murder charges after shooting his brother in Allentown, authorities said. A woman and teen were injured while a man was killed following back-to-back shootings in Allentown Monday night, reports say. The first shooting occurred on the 700 block of Lehigh Street around 10:30 p.m., Lehigh County Coroner Eric D. Minnich said. A 13-year-old child and a 43-year-old woman were injured while a 29-year-old man, identified as Erik Mondragon, was pronounced dead about two hours later, authorities said.
