Pedestrian Struck In Easton Hit-Run, Authorities Say (Updated) (Note: This story has been updated with new info from Easton police.)  Easton police are asking for the public's help in investigating an early morning hit-and-run on Thursday, Dec. 28.  A 71-year-old pedestrian was struck near on the 300 block of Larry Holmes Drive, near the intersection with Washington and South 4th streets, around 7:20 a.m., authorities said.  He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, they said Friday, Dec. 29.  The suspect vehicle is said to be a black Nissan Altima with likely front-end damage as a result of the crash. Pedestrian, 77, Killed Crossing Easton Street An Easton man is dead after being struck by a car while crossing a city street on Thursday, June 15.  Saifeddin Alrefai, 77, of the West Ward, was walking across Larry Holmes Drive when he was hit, said Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek's Office in a release.  Alrefai was rushed to the emergency room at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus where he was pronounced dead, officials said. His death has been ruled accidental by cause of multiple blunt force injuries, Lysek added.  No charges were announced in connection with the crash.

Easton Police and Fire departments and PA’s rescue team were at the scene of the body recovery in the back of the strip mall on Larry Holmes Drive on Saturday, July 30, the report says citing Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek. Easton Police Seek Info After Armed Man Robs Gas Station With 2 Workers Inside Police in Easton are seeking information after an armed man robbed a local gas station with two workers inside early Friday morning. A tall, skinny man dressed in all black was holding a black semi-automatic handgun when he robbed the Square One Exxon on S. Third St. just before 4:20 a.m., LehighValleyLive reports citing Easton Police Lt. Matthew Gerould.
