Early Morning Pottstown Fire Sends 5 To Hospital, Officials Say Multiple residents are being treated for injuries and smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in Pottstown on Thursday, May 30.  First responders were called to the Robert P. Smith Towers, 501 High Street, just after 6 a.m., according to borough officials.  They arrived to find a blaze on the fifth floor and began "rescue and fire suppression efforts," authorities said.  The state police and Pottstown borough fire marshals are investigating the cause.

Woman Rescued From Deadly Monroe County House Fire: State Police Authorities are investigating the cause of a deadly house fire in Hamilton Township early Thursday, April 18.  A home on North Easton Belmont Pike was "fully engulfed in flames" when troopers arrived around 2:15 a.m., state police said in a release.  First responders rescued one woman from the blaze and a man was found dead inside, according to officials.  The woman was taken to the Lehigh Valley Regional Burn Center, and some responding troopers were treated for minor injuries at the St. Luke’s Monroe Campus, authorities said.  State police are investigating…

SEPTA Buses Collide Injuring 14 In Philadelphia Over a dozen people are being treated for injuries after two SEPTA buses collided in Philadelphia on Friday, July 21, transit authorities told Daily Voice.  One bus rear-ended another on Roosevelt Boulevard in the city's Rhawnhurt neighborhood around noon, SEPTA confirmed. Fourteen people are reported injured, including the two bus drivers, they added.  Footage from the scene Friday afternoon showed first responders loading people onto stretchers and one bus with serious front-end damage. Police were seen rerouting traffic to avoid the scene.

The blaze broke out at a Summit Avenue in Jenkintown around 7:30 p.m., where a man was rescued from the second floor, CBS3 reports. He later died at a local hospital. One firefighter was hospitalized for a possible heart attack and another for heat exhaustion. Both were in stable condition, CBS reports. The cause was under investigation.
