Leo Pavelco Slatington Dies Burning Brush
An 89-year-old Pennsylvania man died of serious burns suffered while burning brush at his home last month, officials said. Leo C. Pavelco, of Slatington, was burning brush at his home when his clothing caught fire around 5 p.m. April 22, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. Pavelco was hospitalized with burns covering 30.5% of his body, and died on May 3, just after 8 p.m., at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Buglio said.

Convicted Felon Brandon Grant Dies From Boiling Water
A Delaware County dad serving time at a Montgomery County prison for abusing his infant daughter died after being scalded with boiling water, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office in a release. Brandon Grant, 39, died on Sunday, Jan. 14 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest from pulmonary thromboemboli due to deep vein thrombosis and complications from burns to his back, according to officials. Victims ID'd In Deadly Montco House Fire, But Cause Still Unclear
Officials in Montgomery County are still working to identify the cause of the early morning house fire that killed one man and one woman in Hatfield on Friday, May 12. The Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company was called to the home, 2873 Washington Lane, at about 4:20 a.m., they wrote in a release Friday afternoon. Dispatchers advised that the blaze on the first floor had trapped two people upstairs, the Company said. Full Body Burns Kill Bucks Man Torching Trash: Coroner
A man lighting trash on fire suffered burns across more than half of his body, ultimately killing him, according to the Lehigh County coroner. Lutz K. Wundshock, 59, of Durham Township, was torching the trash around 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at his home, the coroner's office said. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead at 2:30 a.m. the following day. Allentown House Fire Injures 1, Displaces 2 More, Officials Say
One Allentown resident was injured and two others were displaced by a house fire on the 1800 block of Washington Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, fire officials said. A Lebanon City accused meth cooker hid under a boat as his apartment exploded just after 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, city police said in a statement sent to Daily Voice on Thursday, Sept. 8. Man Hospitalized In Pennsburg Car Fire: Authorities
A man was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a fire broke out in his car, authorities in Montgomery County said. Firefighters doused the car blaze along the 600 block of Penn Street in Pennsburg around 2 p.m., a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety told Daily Voice. The heavy flames eventually spread to a second vehicle, causing damage to a total of two vehicles. officials said.
