Crash On US 222 Causing Delays In Ephrata (Developing) A multi-vehicle crash is causing major delays on US 222 in Ephrata, authorities say.  A van hauling a trailer flipped over by mile marker 39.4 on US 222 northbound near Peach Road, West Earl Township just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The crash shuttered the highway between exits PA 772 to Brownstown or Rothsville and US 322 to Ephrata as of 2:27 p.m. according to PennDOT.  Major delays are ongoing but no injuries have been reported as of 3 p.m. Follow Daily Voice for updates.

'Suspicious Death' Investigation Launched After Dead Body Found In Home Along US 222 In PA A dead body found in a home on US 222 in Lancaster has led to a "suspicious death" investigation authorities say.  The unidentified body was found during a welfare check in the 900 block of North Lime Stree/US 222 in Lancaster on Monday, Dec. 12, around 8:30 a.m., according to a release by area police.  Upon arrival, officers with the Lancaster Bureau of police found "a deceased person" and called detectives from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police Criminal Investigative Division and personnel from the Lancaster County Coroner’s office to the scene.  The investigation is ong…

Multi-Vehicle Closes Part Of US 222 In PA: PennDOT A multi-vehicle crash has closed all lanes along a portion of US 222 on Tuesday, according to the Pennsylvania department of transportation. All southbound lanes have been closed between US 322/Ephrata and Exit: US 322-Blue Ball, as of 4:11 p.m. on Apr. 5, according to PennDOT. Traffic is being detoured using the 322 interchange, PennDOT officials say. It is unclear how many vehicles are involved in the crash or if anyone is hurt. Follow Daily Voice for updates.
