Woman 'Seriously Injured' In Shippensburg Fire MedEvac'd To Maryland (Photos; Video) A 70-year-old Shippensburg resident is in the hospital in Maryland following a fire on Tuesday evening, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Thursday, Feb. 1. Deborah Westbrook's single-family home at 303 Dwelling Court had a fire break out near the entryway at 5:48 p.m. on Jan. 30, Trooper First Class Kemerer detailed in the release.  Westbrook was found by Shippensburg firefighters who entered the smoke-filled home through the first window about a minute later. Woman ID'd Following Crash In Cumberland County: Coroner An 81-year-old woman has died in a crash in Newburg, the  Cumberland County Coroner’s Office announced on Monday, Sept. 25.  The woman has been identified by the coroner as Betty J. Eyer of Newburg. She was the driver of a vehicle involved in a multiple-vehicle crash at the intersection of Enola and Three Square Hollow roads, Newburg, Hopewell Township at approximately 2:05 p.m. on Sept. 23, the coroner explained.  Her cause of accidental death was caused by multiple traumatic injuries, the coroner said.  The status of the other people involved is unknown.  The Shippensburg Fire Departm…

'Shit Show' In Shippensburg Street Halts Traffic (Photos) A tractor pulling a trailer spilled its load of manure on Wednesday. The stinky spill happened in the 8100 block of Molly Pitcher Highway North/US 11 in Southampton Township, Shippensburg around 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 13.  The roadway was closed between Clearfield Road and Temporary Drive, the Shippensburg Fire Department said. The rollover caused delays between Mount Rock Road and Temporary Drive, according to PennDOT.
