21-Year-Old Pennsylvania Woman 'Too Beautiful For This World' Killed In Maryland A "bright light" in her community, Sophia Battisti, of Reinhold’s, was killed in a crash in Maryland on Friday, August 26, police say.  Battisti was crossing the street "against the pedestrian signal" at Coastal Highway in the area of 59th Street just before midnight when she was struck by a car traveling north, Ocean City police say.  "Lifesaving efforts were initiated by good Samaritans at the scene and Ocean City EMS," police say. Pennsylvania Girl Attacked By Shark A 12-year-old girl was bitten by a shark earlier this week. Jordan Prushinski, of Luzerne County, left her landlocked state and headed to Maryland earlier in the week for a family vacation at the coast. "I was on the beach and I was bleeding everywhere,” she told WBRE News. It all started when she was swimming at the 19th Street Beach in Ocean City on Monday. A wave came in and she felt something on her leg. She ran out of the water-- bleeding from her left leg-- and was treated by lifeguards. Prushinski was transported to a hospital for 20 wounds on her leg which required 42 stitches.…
