Woman ID'd In Lehigh After New Year's Day Harrisburg House Fire A 65-year-old woman has been identified by the Lehigh County Coroner following a New Year's Day house fire in Harrisburg. Brenda L. Cuff of Harrisburg was pronounced dead in the Lehigh Valley Burn Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest at 4:35 a.m. on Tuesday, January 02, 2024, coroner Daniel  Buglio detailed in the release.  Her cause of death was listed as "complications of 50-60% full thickness burns due to house fire." 1 Hospitalized In Myerstown Building Explosion An explosion at a commercial building caused a large fire that injured one person in Jackson Township early Wednesday morning, according to authorities. Fire crews including multiple tankers were called to the Lapp Carriage Shop at 372 King St., in Myerstown around 7 a.m., according to Emergency Dispatch Services. Pennsylvania State Police said only that one male was hospitalized with unknown injuries.
