PA Man ID'd In I-81 Motorcycle Crash: Authorities A 65-year-old motorcyclist has died in a crash on Interstate 81, authorities say.  Mark "Doc" Brown of Greencastle was riding a 2020 Harley-Davidson FLHXS Street Glide Specia when he went off the roadway for an unknown reason and struck the guide rail at mile marker 13.5 on I-81 in Guilford Township and the call about motorcyclist came into dispatch at 7:11 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023, according to Pennsylvania State Police.  The Franklin County Coroner’s Office was soon called to the scene, according to dispatch.  All lanes were closed between Exit 14 at Wayne Avenue and Exit 10 at Mari…

2nd Deadly Crash In PA Turnpike's Longest Tunnel In 2023: Authorities A second deadly crash of 2023 has happened inside the Tuscarora Tunnel, authorities say.  The latest crash happened at the border of Huntingdon and Franklin counties at mile marker 187.4 west at 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.  Multiple tractor-trailers were involved in the crash and one person died at the scene, according to the Turnpike Commission and the Franklin County coroner's office.  Details about the victim were not released.  Detours were set up by Exit 161/Breezewood for just over three hours during the investigation and clean up. Woman ID'd As Passenger Killed In Crash On I-81 In Franklin County: State Police A woman from Wayne has been identified as the victim of a deadly crash on Interstate 81 on Wednesday, Dec. 7, authorities announced the following day.  61-year-old Michelle K. Massey, was riding in the passenger seat of a 2020 Toyota Rav4 when for an unknown reason the driver, 82-year-old Albert Massey left the ramp at exit 14  on I-81 SB and struck a tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder, according to the Pennsylvania state police.  Michelle was declared deceased at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner's office at 1:28 p.m. as detailed in the release.  Albert was …

Police Release Details Following 'Active Incident' In Chambersburg The Chambersburg police released details shortly after urging the public to avoid the 500 block of Nelson Street in Chambersburg due "active incident" on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Officers were called to the area for a "suicidal subject within the residence" at approximately 10:46 a.m., the department stated in an updated release that afternoon.
