'Serious Injuries' Hospitalize 2 After Tree Falls On SUV: PA State Police
Two people are in the hospital with "serious injuries" after a tree fell on their SUV on Wednesday, Pennsylvania State Police announced that evening. The tree landed on the Toyota Highlander along Kirkwood Pike/PA Route 472 in Quarryville, Colerain Township at 12:15 p.m. on April 3, PSP Trooper James Grothey detailed in the release. Heavy rain and winds uprooted the tree sending it down on the SUV's windshield — trapping the pair inside the vehicle, Grothey explained. Amish Horse-Buggy Involved In Quarryville Crash: Authorities
An Amish family's horse-and-buggy was involved in a crash in Quarryville on Tuesday morning, authorities explained. The crash happened on Beaver Valley Pike between Old and Fairview roads in Providence Township, according to Lancaster County Wide Communication. Crews were sent to the scene at 8:33 a.m. on March 14, LCWC detailed. "It was just a spooked horse," officials with the Quarryville Fire Company told Daily Voce. No motor vehicles were involved and no injuries were reported.

A spooked horse caused a crash in Quarryville earlier this week, a local fire company said. The horse was pulling an Amish family's buggy, when it was suddenly "spooked and hit another vehicle," the Quarryville Fire Company told Daily Voice. A drunk driver who caused a serious head-on that sent two people to the hospital has been charged, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Thursday. The force of a two-vehicle crash sent a car into a home in the 900 block of Kirkwood Pike in Colerain Township at 8:20 p.m. on July 13, 2023, fire officials said.
