Propane Tank Caused Home Explosion That Killed 45-Year-Old Jersey Shore Man: Prosecutor
A propane tank is to blame for the home explosion that killed a 45-year-old Jersey Shore man on Tuesday, Oct. 31, authorities said. Kevin Thomas, 45, was found on his front lawn of 253 Neptune Dr., with serious burns, and airlifted to Temple Burn Center in Philadelphia after the explosion that turned into a fire ravaged his house, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Predator Who Drove 2,700 Miles For Sex With Jersey Shore Girl, 14, Busted When He Returns: Feds
A predator from Louisiana who drove 2,700 miles roundtrip for sex with an underage Jersey Shore girl was captured when he flew back for more, federal authorities said. Spencer William-Wayne Caudle, 34, began grooming the 14-year-old victim through the Whisper app in April, a complaint on file in U.S. District Court in Trenton alleges. Teen Boy Dead, Sister Rescued After Sand Collapses In On NJ Beach
An 18-year-old boy died and his 17-year-old sister was rescued when sand collapsed in on them while they were digging at a New Jersey beach Tuesday, May 17, authorities said. Levy Caverley, of Maine, was identified as the victim by Toms River police. He and his family were spending the afternoon at the beach, and he and his sister were digging a hole near the Seaview Road entrance on the barrier island when it collapsed in around 4:10 p.m., local police said. A Jersey Shore man who was caught with a handful of phony federal agent IDs in his own name admitted also having a homemade rifle and a silencer. Police using a drone found the bodies Tuesday of an Ocean County couple who went missing two weeks ago. No foul play was suspected, authorities said.
