Army Parachuters At Nationals Park Caused US Capitol Evacuation
A plane carrying members of the US Army Golden Knights evacuated the US Capitol Wednesday, April 20, authorities said. The parachuters posed a "probable" aircraft threat, prompting the 6:45 p.m. evacuation. In a statement, Capitol Police said an unidentified plane was spotted "within seconds" of the Capitol building. A Harrisburg woman entered her plea to eight charges related to the Jan. 6 riot in the U.S. Capitol, including the alleged theft of a laptop. The father of a Pennsylvania woman who stole Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's laptop was busted on child porn charges after asking an undercover detective posing as a teenage girl online to film herself using the bathroom, news reports say.
