Gunman Snuck Through Bathroom Window In Deadly Montco Apartment Shootout: DA One man is dead and another was airlifted to a Philadelphia hospital following an exchange of gunfire in a Lansdale apartment unit late Monday, April 17, authorities say. Police were called to the Walnut Arms Apartments around 11:10 p.m. for a reported shooting, District Attorney Kevin Steele said in a release.  They arrived to find 21-year-old Wesley Wayne Smith of Philadelphia dead on the floor, authorities said. Philly Caretaker, 25, Accidentally Shoots Disabled MontCo Resident, 71, In Face With New Gun A 25-year-old employee at a Montgomery County assisted living facility accidentally shot a 71-year-old resident in the face Saturday night, authorities said. The caretaker, a Philadelphia resident, was alone with three residents at the home on the 600 block of Rosemont Avenue in Upper Gwynedd, when the incident occurred around 8 a.m. Saturday, local police said.
