Early Morning Pottstown Fire Sends 5 To Hospital, Officials Say Multiple residents are being treated for injuries and smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in Pottstown on Thursday, May 30.  First responders were called to the Robert P. Smith Towers, 501 High Street, just after 6 a.m., according to borough officials.  They arrived to find a blaze on the fifth floor and began "rescue and fire suppression efforts," authorities said.  The state police and Pottstown borough fire marshals are investigating the cause.

Fire crews in Palmer and Bethlehem Township rushed to the scene of the blaze in the westbound lanes near milepost 333.1 in the early afternoon, authorities said.
